Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (not neutered) : : Baby : : Medium Learn more about the Catahoula Leopard Dog.
Gustav is one of the biggest of 9 catahoula puppies born on Sept 1st 2017 to a sweet mom who weighs around 40lbs. We have no idea what breed Dad was as mom was dumped at the shelter just days before going birth and luckily ended up in a foster home with our sister rescue in Louisiana. Gustav is here in Seattle and is looking for his very own family. He's a fun loving puppy who loves to play with other dogs and people but he is also the biggest baby in the bunch and loves to complain about how hard life is lol. He is a love bug and enjoys his cuddles. He will run and tackles siblings to get them to play with him and is looking for a fun loving active family to wrestle with him! He is great with kids and is already 90% potty trained and learning his basic commands! As with all young puppies Gustav cannot be left alone more than 2-3hrs and is still working on finishing his potty training. Part of our adoption contract is a promise to attend a puppy training class to ensure he has a great start learning the rules of life as a family member. Are you ready to commit to training? Have a hefty dose of patience and love to hand out? Are you ready for puppy breath, cuddles, laughter and more? Then perhaps Gustav is the boy for you :) Please do your research on Catahoulas before applying, they are loyal, very intelligent amazing dogs who require a strong minded owner who will ensure they learn their place in the pack. The time you put into your dog will be returned ten fold! Read on for instructions on how to apply: As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters. Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can. It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
